I’ve updated Journler today from 1.1.6 to 2.0 and I’m loving the changed appearance and functionality. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the application, “Journler” is a fine program for recording thoughts digitally - either words, or images, or sound, or any combination thereof. Actually, this app does so much more than that. Bottom line, this is a great application and I’m going to donate money for it as soon as I get a chance. I wonder how much I should send to the developer. I’m not sure why I mention this at all, but I can’t help myself.
I’ve only made two changes to the application’s appearance. I changed the icon to something similar to the original, but better. I also hacked into the app resources folder and changed the icon for the main journal in the folders sidebar to match the icon for the app. Otherwise, everything is standard and wonderful.
In my opinion, this one application that every Mac user should have on their computer. It’s right up there with Quicksilver as one of the best, mind-altering applications available. In case you’re wondering, Journler is only available for Mac OS X, which means you now have one more reason to switch to Mac.
